This tutorial will assist the user in preparing the CEP report that certain ESC Regions may require.
ESC Regions may require the School District to provide a report that permits them to match the detailed DC listing by student and reason for eligibility to those records of enrollment and attendance. The Systems Design POS system provides for this report to be generated from existing data. The report generated will be extracted in .csv format and then transmitted to the file system of the PC. The resulting report will then be opened as an Excel document on the users PC. This format should be the optimum for the reviewer at an ESC Region.
Please note that the users PC would be using the telnet program Hyperterminal 6.3 which is the desktop program used to connect to the Systems Design POS server. The file that will be extracted and transported to the PC's file system uses this Hyperterminal program. In addition to the configuration to connect to the server and to operate within the POS program, Hyperterminal must be configured to transfer files. Your program is most likely already configured to do this but you may check the program by referring to this tutorial.
The file that is extracted and placed on your PC will, in most cases, be found in the folder C:\CSDI\Claims
