If Your Printer Won't Print
There may be a time when you try to print your reports ant the report does not print. Most of the time this is because the printer becomes detached from the system. There is a program in the Food Service server that we call the print spooler. This program is what permits the system to manage all the printers at the campus level and in the main office. This program also permits us to print from any terminal in the district to any printer in the district. Sometimes the print spooler detects a problem with a printer. A printer may have a mechanical problem, be out of paper, or have some other issue. If one or more of these conditions exist then the print spooler will detach that printer from the system. If detached the printer will not print. Since a printer is detached and will not print then we must see what the problem is and then attach that printer. When attached the printer will probably print. If not then the campus should call the main office and report the situation.
