How To Set Up System For Summer Feeding Programs
Please refer to the downloadable instruction sheets for instructions on how to prepare the Systems Design point of sale program for Summer Feeding
The three main things the back office administrator need to do are as follows:
1. Check to make sure the campuses that will be serving Summer Feeding have the "SFSP FLAG" set to "Y" in the campus masterfile (FS - 01 - 03).
2. Check those campuses to make sure they have Summer Feeding menus and the prices are correct (FS - 01 - 02) then check "F" "Q" "M" and "E" menus or any that apply. Check that both the items and the prices are correct. You may add, change or delete any menu items you wish.
3. Insure that the cashiers understand that during Summer Feeding they select different menu codes which are "F" for First Meal (breakfast), "M" for Mid Day Meal (lunch), "Q" for Quick Meal (snack) and "E" for Evening Meal (supper) so our system can differentiate between the two. This correlates to cashiers selecting "B" for Breakfast and "L" for Lunch during the regular school year.
