Log In To The Point Of Sale To Serve Meals
One of the most basic tasks of the cashier is that of simply turning on the point of sale device and logging on to the system so that served meals may be recorded. This tutorial should serve to instruct cashiers on this process. It is important to note that there may be several variations of the login process available to the cashier. These variations would include the options to use the express input option which records the transaction as the student ID is entered, the option to record meals by home room input , and other available options which may apply.
We suggest that when you first arrive in the morning that you turn on the thin client to be sure that you do have a connection. If for some reason you do not have a connection you should check to see that the wires on the thin client and the monitor are properly connected or plugged in. If you still do not have a connection then you should call the food service office.
At the end of the day the cashier will have to log off the system. This is an important task as at the end of the day the system looks to see that all cashiers have completed their tasks and have properly logged off at their terminals.
