Update Student Statuses To Paid For Students With Expiring Temporary Statuses.
Note: It is important that before you execute the actions mentioned in this tutorial that the End Of Day routine be completed that day.
This tutorial will illustrate how to print listings of those students who will have their statuses changed at the end of the 30 day grace period. These students include those who had a status of free or reduced during the preceding school year because that family had submitted a free or reduced application but have not submitted an application this year during the grace period. This tutorial also covers the updating of statuses of those students who had a status granting free meals that were categorically qualified during the preceding school year. Those students may have been qualified for a free meal status due to their inclusion on a list that determines that they are directly certified, homeless, migrant, runaway, or some other form of qualification but or not on any such list provided the school district during this grace period.
It is important to note that within these routines that there is provision for printing list of students that are subject to a status change due to the execution of this program which changes these statuses to paid. The printing of these lists will provide an opportunity to verify these status changes for each student.
Note also that the action of updating the statuses is overt and is not automatically done by the system on the 30 day grace expiration date. The administrator must run these programs to actually effect the status changes. There is no "undo" for the action taken in this program.
Each district knows their specific 30 day grace expiration date. These updating actions should be run after completing the End of Day routine on the expiration date which will cause the Accuclaim file not to be affected.
After completion of these actions, the grace period should be changed to 10 days. View this tutorial
