Correcting Meal Mistakes At The Point Of Sale
Correcting meal mistakes are easily corrected in the Meal Input program.
Correcting meal mistakes by the cashier is an important part of the cashier's responsibility. Cashiers may make meal corrections if they detect the mistake as it occurs or they may make corrections at the end of the day as a result of detecting mistakes by reviewing the end of day reports specifically the Meal Transaction Report.
The program provides for the reversing of meal items, either or both reimbursable meals and Ala Carte items. The meal input program displays a listing of items recorded as sales in each student's record where a selection of items to be reversed may be made.
It should be noted that meal mistakes may be corrected by any cashier unlike cash mistakes as will be illustrated in another tutorial.
