Printing Reports From The Food Service System From Your PC
The Systems Design Food Service System provides the user with many and various reports that may be printed to printers attached to the food service server. This is accomplished via a program on the server called the print server. Up until now the system users were restricted to using the printers attached to the system, the print server, for report printing. We now have the ability to print any report available to the system to be printed via the PCLP Web Based Report Viewer to a printer available to a PC displaying the PCLP web site.
The way this printing routine works is that the user prints any report they select while in the Food Service System as they normally would but directing the print job to printer 099. Printing to printer 099 is the key to making the report available on web based interface the PCLP Web Based Report Viewer. In addition to printing to printer 099 you must know your unique log in.
As stated, we call this process the PCLP Web Based Report Viewer.
PCLP permits the user to view the report on their PC screen in their browser from which the report may be printed. If the user elects to save the report to their PC then the report is saved in .pdf format to be viewed or printed at a later time. The user may access the PCLP web based interface using most major web browsers including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Opera.
The way to access the reports via PCLP is as follows:
First you must know the IP address of your food service server. If you do not know the IP address and do not know how to find it, ask the software support office to provide it to you by using this contact form. A quicker way to find your server IP address is to view the tutorial on how to find your server IP address on the tab to the right of this PCLP tutorial. When you know the IP address enter the URL in your web browser in this format. Be sure to use your own IP address. The one in the example is only for instruction. Also be sure to put the / after the PCLP.
