Direct Certification Quick Input Program
Some school districts have just a few students that are directly certified. It may be more efficient for those districts to enter these few students manually rather than each month download the direct certification file from the state site, ftp the file to the server and then process the file.
This tutorial will cover how to use the printed DC list from the state for source data and to use the Direct Certification Quick input program.
Note that when using the Quick Inputs program to manually enter those directly certified you must complete the Direct Certification process. This process will be accomplished by going to LA=Lunch Application Menu, then 08=Direct Certification Menu and then completing 14=Direct Certification by Association and 15=Direct Certification Letters-One per Address. Accomplishing this will insure that all those students in the same household as those manually directly certified are themselves certified and that households are notified by letter. You may view the instructions on these routines by going to the page Direct Certification on this site.
